Exotic Zanzibar

My new wife and I had our honeymoon in the village of Jambiani on the beautiful island of Zanzibar. It’s a photographer’s dream, a place well worth a visit. Have a look at some of the images from there.

Dublin’s Big Snow

_MG_2061
There’s enough snow for the record books.  An amazing display of nature – but it’s brought everything to a standstill.  Still, it adds something different to the otherwise uninteresting Winter drizzle.

Europe

london_fountainEurope’s rich history, beautiful architecture and excellent cultural events give a travel photographer an excellent chance to capture some wonderful images.  Have a look below at some of my favourites.

Africa

dead_vlei_sunriseThe images in this gallery where taken in southern Africa, namely Namibia, South Africa and Lesotho. Namibia is definitely worth a visit because of the spectacular opportunities to take some beautiful shots.  South Africa, with its diverse population and wide range of climates is also a must.  Bring a long lens for portraits and a wide angle for the landscapes.

Saudi Arabia

jebel_soudahSaudi Arabia is a difficult place to visit; tourist visas are not commonly easy to get and even if you did get one, your movements can be very restricted.  Being an employee of a Saudi company, I was given full access to any towns and cities in Saudi Arabia (except for Mecca and Medina), which gave me a chance to see and document a lot more of this beautiful country.

Brazil

salvador_beachThe beautiful country of Brazil is well worth a visit for any travel photographer.  On this trip in 2003 I visited Belo Horizonte, Salvador de Bahia, Itacare, and Rio de Janeiro.
