Summer-Haze Look in Photoshop Camera Raw
The warm hazy summer effect that is commonly applied to wedding photographs and portraits requires a number of steps to reproduce in Photoshop. I personally prefer using Camera Raw to get similar effects in half the time. As you may know, you can open not only RAW files in Camera Raw, but also un-layered TIFFs, and JPEGs (see the note below on how to open these formats in Camera Raw), so this effect can be applied to most if not all of your photos.
Note: Other than RAW files, double-clicking on an image file will take it into Photoshop. However, selecting the image in Adobe Bridge and then choosing File > Open in Camera Raw will bring it into Camera Raw.
The first step in this process is sightly desaturating the image. I prefer to use the vibrance slider for this. Then, make adjustments to the white balance (typically bringing the temperature slider to the right, warming the image; and bringing to the tint slider to the left). You might want to brighten the image to simulate a slightly washed-out feel.

Next, intensify the warm tones using the ’split toning’ tab:

You can brighten the warm tones in the image too using the options in the HSL/Grayscale tab, in the luminance sub-tab:

Finally, lomo-ify the image with a vignette:

And there you have it!
I appreciate your comments and suggestions so please leave them!
